This is my first attempt at a blog, usually I just journal and keep it to myself, but since many of you will be out of any sort of loop, this is probably the easiest way to keep up to date on how Sterling is doing in Africa. I leave for Indianapolis in approximately twenty minutes, so I'll keep this short.
Needless to say, no matter how much they've prepared me and how much I've read, I still feel like I have no idea what I'm getting into, and I feel like I won't feel secure in my decision until about nine months from now. I imagine a good part of this first year will be a "what the hell am I doing here?" kind of feeling. If I haven't spoken to you since my last mass email, I apologize, but worry not there are many that I did not get a chance to see before I departed for foreign lands. Considering the rash of engagements I've heard of over New Year's, I know that the world I come back to, whenever that may be, will be slightly different than the world I left. Some of those engaged will be married, some of those married might have children, some of those with children might have another child. Whatever happens, I hope everyone will keep me updated with major life changes.
Good luck in the upcoming years to everyone, and until we meet again,
Sterling

Hello Sterling dearest, this is Lynday...here in Brasstown...I am hoping you remember me...as I do you.
Darling courageous loving soul, I am sending you a bon voyage hug and knowing you are going on an adventure that is beyond mere words. I am looking forward to hearing about you and what happens with you. When you do check in and write your journaling, I will be one of your avid readers as well as storytellers...the journey of Sterling. I love you honey...you are in my heart and mind from this point forward surrounded in White Light and Love. Until I hear more...have a fabulous perfect for you journey! Love, Lynday
